Print pixels are not CSS pixels. PPI describes raster detail at a physical print size. A browser's CSS pixel size does not determine the printed dimensions.
How to use it
Enter a measured label length and select mm, cm, or inches. Set the PPI required by your artwork or print workflow; the pixel count updates immediately.
Inputs round to the nearest micrometre internally. Pixel output rounds to the nearest whole print pixel.
Worked example
One inch equals exactly 25.4 mm or 2.54 cm. At 300 PPI, a one-inch image needs 300 print pixels along that edge.
Common question
Will 300 CSS pixels print at one inch? Only if the print workflow places them at 300 PPI without scaling. Check actual print settings.
